Time for Seasonal Fun!
If you are in charge of an event or a food vendor Read Below:
The season is here for fun!  Along with fun comes safety especially when handling food.  No one wants to get sick from eating fun foods at events. As a health department it is our responsibility to ensure food vendors meet regualtions to ensure safe food handling and safe food service.  As a food vendor, please print out the appropriate package and submit the application at least three weeks prior to the event.  Failure to submit an application and to obtain a permit from our office means you are not allowed to service the public in Jefferson County during a public event.  Also, if you are participating in an event in Jefferson County, you submit an application for each event and pay the proper permit fee.  The only vendor who does not need a permit are bake sales, but they still have to apply and register in Jefferson County.  If you have any questions, please contact our office.  Do not wait until the last minute to get your permit.  Without a permit you will not be allowed to provide your food services.
